Flannel Town

Jake and Dave ponder how to acquire more flannel to keep warm during our frigid central NY winter.

Dave is running the Heidelberg KSBS cylinder press

Much like a lion-tamer, Dave persuades the press to do fancy tricks: match Pantone, don’t feed too fast, get the right amount of air flowing.

Filomena Press visits Boxcar Press

We love when the people we get to work with come to our shop for a visit! Annie came all the way from Monterrey, Mexico to tour the Boxcar Press studio, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to show her around the shop (and the city of Syracuse) a few weeks back.

Annie, a printer from Mexico who runs the shop "Filomena Press", came to Boxcar Press in November for a tour of the shop..

Annie works with us for photopolymer plates, and we’re amazed by the printing she’s been doing lately. Click here to visit Filomena Press on Facebook to check out some of Annie’s work!

Pat’s Press is the Greenest

My fellow pressperson, Pat, has the greenest press in the shop. From a lush green carpet for comfortable footing all the way up to the very top with a leafy, happy bamboo plant for ambient eye candy. Pat’s press is the swankiest.

Revamped Building Exterior

Hey, look at it! Our building, the Delevan Center near Armory Square, received a new look thanks to the Connective Corridor project that connects cultural venues throughout the city. The “use” of Syracuse has been appearing on billboards in the area as part of a wider campaign to make these places known. There is a free Connective Corridor bus, bright red signs and flags, and now our building proclaims the theme proudly. For more information about the Connective Corridor & all these topnotch venues creating a vibrant art scene with so much to offer, go to: http://connectivecorridor.syr.edu/
