Let’s get together! We’re located a few blocks west of downtown Syracuse, New York, minutes from a lot of nice interstate highways. Look for us in the historic Delavan Center, a rambling 1890’s warehouse that also shelters many of Syracuse’s painters, sculptors, ceramicists and photographers. School groups, you too! We love giving tours to students. Tours are 30-45 minutes and based on individual or group interest, but generally include visits to our letterpress print shop and also platemaking.
To book a tour: please call Cathy Smith at 315.473.0930, or send Cathy an email. Give us at least 24 hours notice so we’ll be ready for your visit.
Central New York is home to more than us, of course. This is a part of the country rich with glacial lakes, rolling hills, meandering roads, a type foundry, and really good apples. (Use Print/Trip on Letterpress Commons for more fun letterpress vacation planning.) Should you want to turn your visit into a vacation adventure, there’s a lot about this area to love. For instance, the charms of the resort town called Skaneateles; the jaw-dropping gorges of Ithaca; Green Lakes State Park, where the lakes are really green enough to belong among the glaciers in the Rockies; cherry orchards, apple orchards, wineries, blueberry patches, and even a festival celebrating cabbage. We could go on, but we don’t want to reveal Central New York’s secrets all at once! Come out here for a day, a week, or hey, move out here and fall in love with the place like we did.
