If you frequently leave letterpress inks overnight on your press, you can periodically apply Easy Street to deep clean and pamper your letterpress rollers. It cleans rollers and deglazes rollers.
Rollers should have a dull appearance, and feel smooth to the touch when dragging your finger across the roller surface. If you see a little shine and your rollers feel harder, they probably have become glazed. Glazed rollers are the residue of press cleanup and can affect how letterpress inks are distributed on the rollers. Glazed rollers can slip and cause streaking.
