Pearl #11 Improved, circa early 1900's

bullet red

Why we love it: the Pearl is so cute and pretty, and it's one of the few small presses that use the same toggle action as the Heidelberg Windmill, giving it very powerful impression for its size bullet red This press has been a labor of love, because the press, when we initially got it, was completely nonfunctional and missing many of its essential parts. In its prior life, it printed labels for vials of bull semen in Ithaca, New York at Grover Stamp Print. Somehow in the process of printing labels during its sordid past, the crankshaft got bent (among other mishaps). Through the helpful assistance of Mike Anton, Doug Marlow, and other Golding aficionados, we put this press back together to be fully functional. Mostly, it's in our shop to be pretty though.
