Yes, you can order through either company! We always will make a recommendation on which brand would best fit your needs (whether it be us, Bella Figura or Smock), so just let us know what you're looking for!

Thanks for these fantastic tips!!! I have a printmaking background and was wondering whether you could use printmaking inks? And also whether soaking the paper just like when you are preparing to print on a roll press in printmaking helps the registration or ink and embossing?

I believe the curling is made worse if the plate is left exposed to fluorescent light. Generally I simply put it in the drying rack of the photopolymer platemaker for 4 minutes and the warmth will make it more pliable. The I simply place it on the magnetic base and leave it there overnight or use it if I need.

Ivan, I am an old "Real Printer/Letter Press Operator. I congragulate you. You have mastered what once had been a very good trade. I apprenticed on a Chandler & Price Platen Press but ran many others, up to a Meile 00 Cylinder Magazine Press. I have also read several Books about Siberia. You have all of my respect. I will purchase something from you later. I know where there are some "very old Letter Press Instruction Books. I think I could barrow a few for you. John T. Wagner, Pickerington, Ohio wagner nd@aol.com.

If my plates are starting to curl I place them in a zip lock bag with a wet paper towel over night. The next day they're much more pliable and ready to print! Some of my plates are more prone to curling than others, those I just always store in the ziplock with a towel if I use them multiple times.
