For Bella Figura, the line of wedding invitations created by Boxcar Press, we wanted something beautifully spare and modernly historic

Think of a horse-drawn Prius, or Rockefeller Center, or a Gustav Stickley table that could have been made yesterday or a hundred years ago because it's still made by hand

We fashioned the die-cut business cards after old school calling cards, the kind Edith Wharton would appreciate

Printed on our lavishly 2-ply cotton letterpress paper, these business cards won't fit into standard organizers (but our clients would never use those plastic card holders anyway)

Nothing about this set is mass produced. Names on these double-sided business cards are done in hand calligraphy

Envelopes are custom-converted

For the envelope interior, we letterpressed calligraphic flourishes whose impression shows playfully through the outside of the envelope. Security never looked so cool.
